Jean Félix is involved in several projects, either as producer, composer, arranger, or bassist, including the Trio Jean Félix Mailloux, which performed at the Montréal International Jazz Festival in 2003 and 2007. In 2006, the trio recorded and produced the CD Aurores Boréales. Jean Félix is also a member of Bomata, the string trio Cordâme, Trio Damian Nisenson, Swing Guitares, and L’Agence du Swing (with Claude Vendette and Pierre Tanguay, among others). He has also recorded with Marie-Michèle Desrosiers, Vincent Julien, Iks, and many others. He works on film music with Robert M. Lepage, Bertrand Chénier, and Francis Grandmont; and on stage music for Gregory Hlady (theatre), Louise Bédard (dance), and Daniel Soulières (dance). Jean Félix teaches music and conducts improvisation workshops with Pierre Tanguay and Claude Vendette.
