“Lussier is an excellent musician and an incredible, adventurous composer.”

High quality modern big band jazz with an adventurous sense of humor and an offbeat, angular feel. Various combinations of 12 people on mostly acoustic instruments produce a sound tending toward circus-like cacophony. Lussier is an excellent musician and an incredible, adventurous composer. His pieces have a jumpy laughability and a delightful power to evoke nostalgic eras inside a thoroughly modern context.

“… a fine alternative to the horribly dated big band scene. Highly recommended for those who refuse to believe that, by law, a group of ten or more jazz musicians have to play Swing music…”

“… ce René Lussier est bien agaçant d’avoir autant de talent.”
