L’Ensemble Pierre Labbé, will be giving a series of concerts across Canada this summer. The group will play at Halifax’s Fever spring festival on May 13 and 14, 2005, at Moncton’s Aberdeen cultural Center on May 15, 2005, at the Vancouver Jazz Festival on June 25, 2005 and finally at Mcdonald Stewart Art Centre during the Guelph Jazz Festival on September 7, 2005.
Pierre Labbé, knowned from his previous projects Papa Boa and Les Projectionnistes, is joined this time by his own ensemble (Nathalie Bonin on violin, Julie Trudeau on cello, Frédéric Alarie on bass, Claude Lavergne on drums and Bernard Falaise on guitar). The album, Risque et pendule, injects some jazz in actuelle music and some rock to contemporary composition!
