Robert Marcel Lepage: Film and TV MusicRobert Marcel Lepage has composed the music for two documentary full-length films: PARIS1919 and The Art of Documentary. Three tv projects with France are also on their way. Furthermore, Lepage is two-time Gémeaux Prize nominee, this year: his film musics of Nestor et les oubliés by Benoit Pilon (music performed by Luzio Altobelli, Jean-Félix Mailloux, Yanik Cloutier, and Isaiah Ceccarelli); and Chez Schwartz’s by Gary Beitel (with Normand Guilbeault, Maxime Séguin, Claude Lavergne, Yanik Cloutier, and Sean Craig) have been selected.

Revue & Corrigée Investigates: Why Do you Make CDs?The French magazine Revue & Corrigée (#76, June 2008) has published an impelling article Pourquoi faites-vous des disques? (“Why do you make CDs?”). News from Ganesh AnandanAfter several solo concerts, residencies and collaborations in Italy, Austria, Czech Republic and Germany, percussionist, improviser, instrument builder Ganesh Anandan is back in Montréal until mid-June. He is presently mixing a CD he did in Wuppertal (Germany) with daxophonist Hans Reichel. The CD entitled Self Made focuses on two instruments builders and their respective instrument, namely the Daxophone and Shruti Stick. Afterwards, Ganesh Anandan will return to Prague, his home base in Europe for the summer, with concerts and collaborations in various places.

MaryClare Brzytwa has just moved to Switzerland to curate an online radio station of experimental sound art, “village nomade radio”. She is also performing in a musical written by Kevin Blechdom — entitled Recantata — “which addresses America’s widespread obsession with cults and satanic activity during the eighties as seen through the eyes of a small town”.
